Exhibit Hall: A total building Lighting Control System was utilized to provide a flexible system taking into consideration the multi-form building arrangement and an energy conservative design to reduce operating costs. Occupancy sensors
were placed in office spaces and public toilet rooms. The ballrooms on the lower level have a multi-station lighting control system that can be pre-set based on partition arrangements or can be manned from one location. The exhibit hall has a unique ‘stepped’ dimming system that provides various lighting levels for different events based on “on/off” multi-level switching of the high bay metal halide system combined with the dimming of supplemental incandescent fixtures. A building sweep is performed at the end of each day, leaving only emergency lighting illuminated when the building is not occupied.
Arena: A total building control system, separate from the Exhibit Hall, is provided. The service level is divided into areas that are utilized for player practice. Local override switches are provided throughout the teams’ area. The arena houses
basketball, hockey, and arena football. A computer controlled selective “on/off” system allows the proper illumination for each sport. The arena also accommodates concerts, meetings, and ‘other shows’ and additional “scene” capabilities are provided to allow almost infinite usage flexibility.
